So, here we are in Montreal (not literally):), where an amazing match is taking place at this very moment, Djokovic v.s Davidenko. Watching the game, it looks like someone, and by someone I mean Davidenko has been practicing a lot, while Djokovic was relaxing after becoming the world number one tennis racket. Well, I guess this match is going to be a reality check for Novak. It is like the story about the aunt and the grasshopper :). Currently, the result is 4:1 for Davidenko. The guy is on fire. He won 2 breaks, and looks very confident, like he was preparing all his life to win this match. The 6th game just finished, with a break won by Novak Djokovic. It seems like he will be back on track. I guess he was expecting less from this match. But Davidenko is showing amazing psychic skills. He is “reading” every movement of Djokovic, so in the seventh game there was a point where he went after the ball even before Djokovic knew where he would hit it there. The 8-th game has finished with a result 4:4. Novak Djokovic is back in the game, but yeat again he is making some unforced errors, and on the other side, Nikolaj is fighting to win back this set. It is really one strange set. In one moment, the Serb is making mistakes that he must not do, and Davidenko is having the well known psychological condition called fear of success, and that is why he “gave away” 3 games . Now it is 5:4 for Davidenko, and he is again showing this unnecessary fear toward Djokovic. And here we go, it is 15:40 , and Davidenko just won a great point with an overhead. The game continues with deuce and advantage for Davidenko, and deuce again. Now Djokovic is having a break point, so he ties the result, 5:5, and just 13 minutes ago it was 4:1 for Davidenko. Amazing. The weath
er is fine, there is no sun, but the meteorologists announced rain. And maybe it will be better for Davidenko if the rain comes out, because Djokovic just won the 11th game, and the result is 6:5. Davidenko lost his self-confidence, and I guess, now he realized that Djokovic is not by accident a number one tennis racket. The 12th game just began, with 15:0 for Djokovic, wining it with an amazing passing shot. So after two advantages for Davidenko, he did not manage to win this game. Djokovic won this set wit a result of 7:5. Really strange set. They did not show a very quality game in the first set, but there were many great, and mostly dramatic points.
The second set has just began, and Djokovic is on serve. He is doing a great mix with it`s serve and his shots, which of course resulted with game for Novak. Davidenko is on serve now, but his first serve during the whole game reached max 180km/h. He is probably having some troubles with his injury in his shoulder. But on the other side, he is moving very fast, and he had many great points where he was hitting the line very precisely, and Djokovic had a little laugh on his own about this skill of Davidenko:) The result is 2:0 for Djokovic. He is on serve, but Davidenko has an advantage, and he is making an unforced error again. He does not have enough top spin in his shots, and because of that, he managed to make 32 unforced errors. 3:0 for Djokovic, and this is the seventh game in line that Djokovic is winning. It is getting really cloudy in Montreal, we hope that it will remain without rain just for a while, because judging by the game, it will not last for long. The fourth game finished with a break for Djokovic. Davidenko stopped the game during the last point of this game, thinking that the ball was out, but the challenge showed that the ball was in, which resulted in game for Djokovic. Davidenko won the next game, but this seventh game was terrible for Davidenko, so now the result is 5:1 for Djokovic, and he is serving for the match, which he won. So ladies and gentlemen, 6:1 in the second set, and Djokovic won this match whics is his 49th victory this year. This match finished in the same second when Gasquet won his match against Bellucci. However, Novak Djokovic showed again that he is planning on keeping the first place for a while:). Congratulation Nole!
